Camp Tel Noar Registrar
Location: Wellesley, MA 02482
General Description:
Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Registrar will be responsible for specific tasks during the winter season for Camp Tel Noar and will collaborate with the other Cohen Camps personnel on projects as assigned. This person will work in the Cohen Camps’ office during the off-season and will hold a position at camp for the summer months. The work schedule will require limited evening and weekend work-related travel
Responsibilities:
REGISTRATION, CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND PRE-CAMP ADMINISTRATION:
Maintain and manage all Camp Tel Noar camper applications, enrollment procedures, payment plans and acceptance correspondence within the camper management system and other relevant documents.
Assist Director with staff application, interview scheduling, and creating contracts.
Assist Director in recruiting staff and attending staff recruiting trips as needed.
Manage camper and staff files and other paperwork.
Coordinate preparation of ACA accreditation materials.
COMMUNICATIONS AND SOCIAL MEDIA:
Maintain promotional releases and details for Tel Noar’s Facebook page, Instagram, blogs, and website.
Assist in preparation and execution of newsletters and communication to Tel Noar families, staff, and alumni.
CAMPER RECRUITMENT AND RETENTION:
Coordinate communications and meetings with current and potential camp families.
Coordinate meetings with potential and current families, alumni and staff.
Coordinate all summer customer service responsibilities including, prospective family tours, Prospective Camper Day, and all follow up communication.
Attend new camper events, camp fairs, and other events to recruit new camp families.
Coordinate offseason community engagement events such as Reunion, Pop-up Socials/Meetups, and other events.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree;
A passion for overnight camping, and an interest in a career in camping or informal education.
REQUIRED SKILLS, CERTIFICATIONS, and ABILITIES:
Exemplary customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written;
Computer experience and knowledge and comfort using social media tools;
Project planning and time management
